Bosco factories, Bauman University, and a new life. A close look at Kaluga as a place to move to.
Along with a team of bloggers, we took a close-up test drive of Kaluga Region to find out whether it’s worth moving there, what jobs, infrastructure, and opportunities for children are like. The word "periphery" no longer means a backward way of life. Today, it means that life for ordinary people here is becoming more comfortable and easier than in a metropolis.
What we saw shattered every stereotype. We were impressed by the power of the Gislaved factories and the grand Bosco factory, visited Tsiolkovsky University, and were literally left speechless by its library. At the same time, Kaluga manages to preserve its remarkable soul and history: we felt the grandeur of the Holy Tikhon Hermitage, were inspired by the Goncharov estate, and ended up at the heart of the street food festival during City Day.
Kaluga Region amazed us with its scale, urban improvements, and technology. Tune in to the travel blog to see a new periphery that can give the capital serious competition. Shall we move?
